Turning off the ovaries to better control ovarian stimulation during an IVF cycle.
Short answer: no
Administration of medicines to get the ovaries to grow more eggs than in a natural cycle. Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) is given, usually by injection for about 10-12 days and monitoring is done by ultrasound and blood tests.
ICSI or Intra cytoplasmic sperm injection is the most common and successful treatment for male infertility.
Blastocyst. The structure of an embryo from about five days after fertilisation. Between 150 to 200 cells in size. The inner cell mass will go on to form a baby while outer layer will form the placenta. Embryologists can grade a blastocyst to predict its potential to implant.
