Ovulation kits have been shown to be not very effective at accurately predicting the time of ovulation. Timing intercourse based on positive ovulation kits means you’re probably too late and missed the fertile window. Ovulation kits have also been shown to increase stress levels when trying to conceive. Our expert view is to avoid ovulation kits if they are causing stress but can be used if they give a sense of feeling in control and are not being used to time intercourse.

Fertility Apps can be helpful to track your cycle but don’t rely on them for contraception. No app has yet demonstrated that it can improve your chances of getting pregnant over traditional methods.
