How London’s IVF postcode lottery makes infertility even more painful

On a cold, dark evening recently more than 100 people who had all tried, unsuccessfully, to conceive a baby, sat in a lecture at Homerton University Hospital, hoping to embark on IVF treatment. All of us knew the disappointment of negative pregnancy-test results; the fatigue of countless blood tests, ultrasounds and hospital appointments; the devastation of an infertility diagnosis.
